"Robert Hansen has been a commercial/fine art photographer for over 35 years. Graduating from Brooks Institute in 1978, Robert started his commercial photography business in 1979 and has worked in the field for over 30 years. He specializes in architectural, small product, and editorial portraiture. His architectural photography has won many design awards for clients in the Southern California area. Since 1991, Robert has taught photographic workshops throughout the Southwest and in Mexico. He also offers personal instruction in portfolio design and digital processes.
Robert has won many awards with his photography including the Theisen Scholarship award from Brooks and many architectural design awards for clients including The Gold Nugget Grand award numerous times. His work with Wallace Neff Jr. was first published in 1987 and recently, his large format portfolio on the architecture of Wallace Neff was presented at The Huntington Library. His ten-year project photographing
in Southern Mexico was published in 2004 by Laguna Wilderness Press and images from his recent portfolio on Los Angeles Trolley Cars was published by Poems Art. Robert’s portfolio from “Yucatan Passages” is a part of the collection of museums in the Yucatan, Mexico and The Huntington Library. Robert balances his commercial photography practice with fine art pursuits. He has had numerous solo exhibitions and his work is included in many corporate and personal collections throughout the country, in Mexico, and in Germany."
